Glass Coating
Glass coating is a high-gloss paint coating that gives the paint a crystal-like, wet-looking surface. It also protects the paint surface from fine washing scratches and environmental influences such as UV rays, acid rain, salt spray, tree resins and their consequential damage with a long, perfectly lasting gloss level.
This paint coating contains silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is used in glass production. This is where the name Glass Coating came from.
To put it simply, the paint surface gets an additional layer of clear coat, but it is much harder, scratch-resistant and highly water-repellent.
