Carnauba wax is a natural wax and is extracted from the leaves of the Brazilian fan palm (Copernica Cerifera). The leaves of the fan palm excrete the wax to protect themselves from evaporation and dehydration.The carnauba wax has a light yellowish to greenish color and consists mainly of saturated higher fatty acids.
